Two green badges, two specific meanings — both reviewed by a real human on our team, never auto-granted on payment alone.
The person behind the account is real, confirmed against government ID and a selfie. Once verified, the badge shows on their profile and on every listing they post going forward.
For this specific listing, the seller has shown they have the right to sell the property — either by deed, tax record, utility bill, or written authorization from the actual owner.
What we check
Email confirmed
The seller has confirmed they own the email address on their account.
Phone on file
A working phone number is recorded against the profile.
Government photo ID matches
Driver's license, passport, or state ID — the name matches the seller's profile and the photo matches the selfie they submitted.
Property ownership confirmed
For each listing, the seller submits one of: a recent property-tax statement, a recorded deed, a utility bill at the property address (last 60 days), or written authorization from the actual owner if listing on someone else's behalf.
What we don't do
- We do not run credit checks, ask for SSNs, or collect bank information.
- We do not auto-verify sellers because they pay for a subscription. A Pro badge means they pay for premium tools; the green Verified badge means a human checked their identity and ownership. They are two separate things, on purpose.
- We do not guarantee the deal. Verification confirms the seller's identity and the listing's legitimacy — it is not legal, financial, or property-condition advice.
How docs are stored
ID photos and ownership docs are uploaded into a private storage bucket. Only the seller and our admin reviewers can access them. Documents are kept for as long as the verification is in force so we can re-verify or respond to disputes; sellers can request deletion at any time by emailing support@thecreativemarketplace.com.
